The Oklahoma Rural Water Association (ORWA) is proud to announce the appointment of ORWA Board Member Todd Ray to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Water Quality Management Advisory Council by Speaker of the House Kyle Hilbert.
Mr. Ray will serve as a member who holds a certificate under the Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operator Certification Act and represents rural water and sewer districts. He fills the position previously held by Mark Matheson and will serve for the remainder of the current three-year term, expiring June 30, 2028.
The DEQ Water Quality Management Advisory Council plays a critical role in recommending rule changes and providing input on policies that impact Oklahoma’s water quality under Article VI of the Oklahoma Environmental Quality Act.
“We’re extremely proud of Todd and thankful to Speak Hilbert for recognizing the importance of rural water leadership on this council, “said ORWA CEO Jimmy Seago, “Todd’s deep experience, professionalism and commitment to Oklahoma’s rural communities make him an outstanding choice to help guide decisions that directly affect water systems across the state.”
ORWA congratulates Todd Ray on this well-deserved appointment and appreciates his continued dedication to serving and strengthening Oklahoma’s rural water systems.
