Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Under supervision of the Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent, monitors daily operation of treatment plant. Performs all necessary or prescribed tests to guarantee proper plant operation and to insure proper standards of treatment. Performs minor repairs and maintenance of plant, equipment, and grounds. Prepares and keeps records of all reports for submission to state and federal agencies. Keeps plant and grounds clean. Must possess a valid Drivers License issued by the State of Oklahoma. Must be available to work nights and weekends as schedule and plant needs dictate. Performs other duties as assigned.
Prefer applicant have at least a Class D Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality Certification
Education: Capable of obtaining state certification as required.
Knowledge: Wastewater plant operations and control equipment; posses a basic understanding of algebra and chemistry.
Skill: Read meters, gauges, scales; adjust equipment to control flow.
Ability: Read and interpret meters, gauges, scales; calculate equipment, changes to control flow.
