Adair County RWD 4 is excited to announce a job opening for Operations Manager. This position will manage the day-to-day business and will be responsible for the water district’s success. This position will report to the Board of Directors. This is a salaried position.
Some assignments will include:
• Plans, organizes, supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of assigned staff.
• Provides day-to-day leadership and works with staff to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment.
• Assign/plan/coordinate work orders to operators and staff.
• Manages and participates in the development and administration of the department’s annual budget; directs the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, consultants, contractors, equipment, materials, and supplies; directs the monitoring of and approves expenditures; directs and implements adjustments as necessary to meet changing conditions.
• Help diagnose and fix problems with the water distribution system to stop water loss.
• Working environment consist of working inside and outside in all weather conditions.
• Operates motor vehicles and small excavator and other equipment.
• Manage spare parts to ensure enough on hand to support operations.
• Required to obtain an Oklahoma Class D or higher water license within 12 months of hire.
