In 2023, ORWA Tribal Specialists conducted an evaluation in West Siloam Springs using the capacity development worksheet as part of the Mankiller Soap Water Act Assessment. The system’s initial score identified areas needing improvement to strengthen sustainability.
This year, ORWA returned to provide direct support and complete targeted tasks to address those gaps. As a result, the system’s score has improved 15.3%, reflecting measurable progress and a stronger foundation for long-term sustainability.
ORWA remains committed to partnering with tribal and rural systems across Oklahoma to strengthen operations, increase capacity, and ensure reliable water for generations to come.
