Cherokee County RWD 8 is accepting applications for the position of field operator. Duties include, but are not limited to:·
~Repair and replace water lines, valves, and meters.·
~Locate water mains and install new service.·
~Operate and maintain light to heavy equipment (back-hoe, lawn mower, weed eater).·
~Use small hand tools such as shovels, brooms, rakes, drills, saws, etc.·
~Perform other related duties as assigned.
Some heavy lifting and working in extreme weather conditions is required. Individual should be energetic and self motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with or without direct supervision, and also communicate and work in a team setting effectively. Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and a working cell phone. Operators work a normal Monday thru Friday, but must also be able to work 24/7 emergency calls.
