Cherokee County Rural Water Dist. #8 is looking for an entry level – part time (32 hours) Assistant to the Field Operations Manager.
Manual Labor will be required: Working in ditches, on the ground, using hand tools, lifting 75+ pounds. Must be able to work in the elements, good problem solving and leak detection skills, and basic computer knowledge.
This position includes, but not limited to, all water line maintenance, setting new water service meters, water line repair, booster repair and maintenance. A future Class D Water license will be required. Some on call may be necessary, so a reliable telephone service is vital for emergency situations.
