The Town of Luther/Luther Public Works Authority is searching for a TEAM LEADER.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The LPWA Team Leader, under supervision of the Town Manager, performs or oversees all water well, waterworks and sewer testing, in addition to all routine maintenance of the LPWA and Town’s infrastructure. The LPWA Team Leader also acts as the Safety Coordinator. Routine maintenance includes, but is not limited to, inspecting water and sewer mains and associated valves and equipment, mowing, weed eating, picking up trash, painting, and inspecting park equipment. Additional duties include reading water meters, accurately reporting the readings, cleaning sewer lift stations, repairing water and sewer breaks, operating tractors, backhoe, trackhoe and sewer jetting equipment, maintaining supplies and inventory, budgeting, coordinating the safety program, and limited supervision of one (1) or more employees.
This job classification has been designated as a safety sensitive job classification in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, 63 O.S., § 427.1 et seq., (OSCN 2019), effective August 29, 2019. This means employees in this job classification can be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination if they test positive for marijuana components or metabolites, even if they possess a medical marijuana license.
